Job Listing: Sr. Retail Manager, Key Accounts (Remote Position)

RŌZ is hiring a passionate, detail-oriented team member to serve as our Sr. Retail Manager, Key Accounts. They will help strategically oversee and manage national key accounts for our growing B2B channel with retailers like Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Credo, Anthropologie, Free People, Goop, Revolve, Shopbop, Moda Operandi + other future beauty retail partnerships in discussion.  


The remote role requires a hands-on approach to operational challenges, maintaining a customer-centric focus and fostering cross-functional collaboration to ensure key accounts are precisely managed for commercial success. 

Candidates must possess enthusiasm for startup mentality, strong analytical/communication skills and prior experience managing major retailers across hair care, body care or skin care. Ideally proficient in tools such as Shopify, ERP (Netsuite)/EDI (SPS, Spring Systems), Excel, Tradestone, Intertrade and Google Sheets. Adaptability to a dynamic environment and commitment to continuous improvement are crucial for success. Prefer candidates that also carry experience managing a retail field sales team in some capacity. 

Responsibilities and Duties (include but are not limited to):

Sales & Profitability Responsibilities

  • Key Relationship Management: Build productive relationships with key buying teams and develop win/win business plans that provide RŌZ with steady, sustainable growth across national partnerships.
  • Strategic Planning: Partner with Head of Sales to develop an annual plan for Key Account channel that maximizes product sell-in/sell-thru to meet YoY goals, build brand awareness, obtain additional market share and convert new customers. Train and lead team members to achieve financial objectives and improve outputs.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Manage and achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly budget targets. Analyze data and implement dynamic solutions that optimize resources to yield top ROI. Seek approval for plans and negotiate optimal company positions.
  • Forecasting: Partner with buying teams to navigate seasonal receipt planning. Provide monthly forecasts at retail account level (opening units, replenishment units) and new product releases (launch units, replenishment units) to account for baseline growth, layered promotions, new door roll-outs and new retailer launches. Proactively resolve inventory gaps and stay atop flourishing demand needs.
  • Sales & Performance: Track weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual retailer sales performance (wholesale and sell-thru). Assess risks and implement profit-maximizing solutions that grow assortment, shelf-space and e-comm site placement.
  • Go-To-Market Management: Work cross-functionally with the team to prep, manage and launch new retailers, new doors and new products with fiscal precision alongside timely deadlines.
  • Field Sales Management: Manage fractional field sales team agency to meet sales targets, follow given budgets, facilitate timely promotions/events and set long-term strategies for incremental account growth.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Nurture cross-department relationships with marketing, supply chain, operations, warehouse, ecomm, creative, product development, sales, finance and other third-party hosts to identify and implement operational efficiencies
  • Marketing & Promotional Strategy: Work with the team to design 360 trade marketing strategies/promos, market week presentations, brand education materials and curated events to maximize sales. Partner with the Head of Sales and Marketing team to build and manage B2B marketing/sampling/GWP activities.
  • Industry Knowledge: Extensive industry, competition and brand knowledge – is always on top of trends, new launches, retail news, etc.
  • Special Projects: Navigate additional responsibilities and participate in special projects, data management integrations and workflow enhancements.


Teamwork Activity
 

  • Attend department meetings and company events; join travel and special projects as needed.
  • Promote exemplary customer service. Determine and handle customer challenges or complaints when necessary
  • Collaborate with other departments and team members to support company initiatives, events and special projects
  • Actively participate in meetings, sharing ideas or presenting information that will contribute to the overall development of the team
  • Assist team and external client for meetings including: content prep, agendas and follow-up


Qualifications

  • 5+ years related industry experience - Bachelor’s Degree preferred 
  • Prefer candidates with U.S. wholesale management experience serving retailers like: Nordstrom, Credo Beauty, Neiman Marcus, Goop, Shopbop, Revolve, Anthropologie, Free People, Moda Operandi plus other major beauty retail chains. Additional experience partnering with field sales teams or agencies.
  • Remote position. M-F work week. Candidate must be U.S.-based and work within U.S. time zones. RŌZ HQ in L.A., but partnering with hybrid team across the country
  • Highly developed sales and financial acumen, including P&L budget management
  • Creative thinker and problem solver with strong analytical and story-telling skills
  • Fantastic organizational and time-management skills. A hands-on self-starter who is comfortable with fast turnarounds and tight timelines. Ability to work well both independently and within a team.
  • Knowledge of ERP/EDI solutions, Shopify, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva platforms a plus
  • Team player with even temperament and comfortable working under start-up pressure
  • Well-spoken, organized and up for any challenge. Candidate possesses a calm, patient demeanor. 
  • Passionate for hair care (bonus points for clean, natural, and organic skincare!) and are ready to be hands on at this product-driven startup.
