The Whimsy Pixie: A Grown-Out Cut That Blooms With You

Sometimes shape, texture, and movement can bloom in unexpected ways. What started as a dramatic crop on Emma Stone, has gently grown into something even more magical. As her pixie began to lengthen around the ears, delicate waves and framing tendrils took form. We called it The Whimsy Pixie because it felt effortless, airy, and expressive.
The secret to the style lies in its texture. Short hair is about embracing that in-between stage with softness and intention. On damp hair, I love spraying in our RŌZ Air Thickening Spray and working it through with a light scrunch and twist, before diffusing to bring those layers to life. Once dry, I gently place wisps around the face with Evergreen Styling Cream, letting the hair find its own rhythm. The result is something relaxed yet romantic—a modern shape that’s full of movement, texture and personality.
