About Mari
Mari Reed is a Philadelphia hair artist who specializes in curly cuts, shags and mullets. She grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, earned her cosmetology license at Toni and Guy Hairdressing Academy, and moved to New York City to focus on color, apprenticing under colorists trained by Louis Licari. She later studied cutting at Bumble and Bumble, Hairstory Studio, Goldwell and Wella. Beauty Launchpad named her to its 30 Under 30 list in 2023 and published her pixie cut tutorial in 2024. She also writes hairstyle articles for The Right Hairstyles. Clients book her cut and color services through Love Letter Hair Salon in South Philadelphia. On RŌZ, Mari's work appears in our Curly Bangs and Textured Fringe galleries.
