Is sulfate-free shampoo right for your hair? Sulfates are effective cleansers, but the right choice depends on your hair, scalp, and wash routine. Learn how sulfates work in shampoo and who may prefer sulfate-free in The RŌZ Guide.

300 mL, 10.1 Fl Oz.

Pair with Foundation Conditioner for the conditioning step. For a shampoo in a scalp scrub format, see Salt Scalp Scrub.

Cleanse with shampoo, then follow with conditioner, mid-lengths to ends. Let the conditioner sit for 2-3 minutes before rinsing. The shampoo cleans without stripping, and the conditioner puts moisture back where dry hair needs it most.

It's gentle enough to use daily. Cleanse with shampoo, then follow with conditioner, mid-lengths to ends. Let the conditioner sit for 2-3 minutes before rinsing. Add Salt Scalp Scrub once a week in place of shampoo.

Cleanse with shampoo, then follow with conditioner, mid-lengths to ends. Let the conditioner sit for 2-3 minutes before rinsing. It adds lightweight moisture that won't flatten your roots.

Cleanse with shampoo, then follow with conditioner, mid-lengths to ends. For deeper hydration, replace Conditioner with the Foundation Mask, or incorporate it as a weekly treatment.

On wet hair, massage into scalp thoroughly. Rinse out. Shampoo a second time for a salon-grade cleanse. Follow with our Foundation Conditioner for your most beautiful hair.

FAQ

We always say to listen to your hair here—there’s no one-size-fits-all. Most people find their sweet spot is 2-3 times per week, but if your scalp leans oilier, you can absolutely use it more often. It’s a gentle, sulfate-free formula, so it cleans without stripping, which makes it great for regular use.

Yes! The Foundation Shampoo is safe for both color-treated and keratin-treated hair. It’s sulfate-free and designed to cleanse gently while helping maintain the integrity of your color and treatments.

In case it gives you a little trouble, here's a trick! Please first tighten the pump around the neck of the bottle—as if you are simply tightening the pump, as if it’s too loose. Then, push down on the top of the pump and twist counterclockwise to pop up.

Foundation Shampoo

"I have been using a great shampoo, my hair salon just started to carry it. Its sulfate free and smoothes my curly course hair beautifully. I also use the Milk Serum and purchased for my daughter. Well done, Roz"

Jill W. (5/5)

"Terrible! I was super disappointed with this shampoo and condition! After hearing so many people promote it and talk about it with High praise I was super disappointed as a girl with oily hair. It did not get my hair clean. Would not recommend and wish I hadnt wasted my money!"

Courtney (1/5)

My search is over!

"I’ve been long searching for a gentle shampoo + conditioner that is cleansing, without stripping & moisturizing, without being heavy (respectively). It’s a pleasant experience using these & I especially enjoy how well the shampoo lathers. The packaging also looks really pretty in my shower."

Kathleen J. (5/5)

Love ROZ

"I love ROZ! I always look forward to hair wash days. I have thick, wavey hair and ROZ is like my clarifying shampoo. It’s a good gentle clean that leaves my hair squeaky clean. The scent does vary and it does it have a shelf life so don’t let it sit around for more than 6 months."

Delia G. (5/5)

Color me impressed

"I have tried so many shampoo and conditoners, but with a lot of fine wavy hair and an oily prone scalp, nothing ever seemed to work. This set has let me have nice day two hair ( a small miracle) and the smeel is lovely. Will be repurchasing."

Jill R. (5/5)

I got hooked after trying the travel size

"Even that little bit was enough to entice me to buy regular size shampoo. I sure am glad I did. My soft waves and curls are full and keep their shape and all I need is to air dry."

Christine G. (5/5)

"Love the product. Its a good lathering and great smelling shampoo. The conditioner is rich and creamy. The pump on the conditioner container never pumped and doesnt seal so its very hard to get the poduct out. Faulty pumps!!"

Christine (5/5)

Q&A

Would you say that your shampoo is safe/beneficially formulated for color protection for color treated hair? Or is that not a claim you make.
Hi Lady! Thank you for your question! Yes, all of our products were formulated to be safe on color and keratin treated hair. Our products do not contain sulfates or parabens, which are the primary ingredients of concern with color-treated hair. Xx, Team RŌZ
Hi! I was excited to find this cleaner brand and was wondering if clarity can be provided on the fragrance/parfum… is it essential oils or synthetic? Thanks!

Recognizing that both natural and synthetic fragrances can meet our high clean standards, we carefully select each based on their environmental impact and safety profiles.
